Frequently asked questions
How is the end date worked out?
The end date is the start date plus the number of days you enter, counted in calendar days. The days remaining are the end date minus today.
Why is there no default number of days?
PeptideCheck offers a stability window only when a compound has one recorded with a source link, so no number is ever filled in without a citation. Enter the window from your own source, such as a supplier data sheet or a paper. The editorial policy explains how figures are sourced.
Does the timer store my dates?
No. The dates are worked out on the page and kept only in the link, if you copy it. Nothing is saved on the server.
Can I put the end date on a label?
Yes. The make-a-label link opens the label maker with the compound and the end date filled in.
