Semax Units Chart (5 mg vial)

Worked example
Worked example: a 5 mg vial of Semax with 2 mL of water has a concentration of 2.5 mg/mL, so a 250 mcg example amount reads 10 units and 500 mcg reads 20 units on a U-100 syringe. With 5 mL the same 250 mcg reads 25 units.

How it works

Each cell is units = target amount in mg / concentration x 100, where concentration = vial mass / water volume. For 5 mg in 2 mL the concentration is 2.5 mg/mL, so a 250 mcg example amount is 0.25 / 2.5 x 100 = 10 units.

Frequently asked questions

How many units is 250 mcg of Semax from a 5 mg vial?

It depends on the water volume: 5 units with 1 mL, 10 with 2 mL, 15 with 3 mL and 25 with 5 mL in a 5 mg vial.

Why does adding more water change the unit reading?

More water lowers the concentration, from 5 mg/mL at 1 mL to 1 mg/mL at 5 mL, so the same target amount occupies more volume and reads more units.

How much Semax is in one unit on a U-100 syringe?

One unit is 0.01 mL. At 2.5 mg/mL (the 2 mL row) one unit holds 25 mcg of Semax.
