Thymosin Alpha-1 Units Chart (5 mg vial)
Worked example
For 5 mg of Thymosin Alpha-1, the chart row for 2 mL shows 2.5 mg/mL: 250 mcg is 10 units and 500 mcg is 20 units. The 5 mL row drops the concentration to 1 mg/mL and moves 250 mcg to 25 units.

How it works
Each cell is units = target amount in mg / concentration x 100, where concentration = vial mass / water volume. For 5 mg in 2 mL the concentration is 2.5 mg/mL, so a 250 mcg example amount is 0.25 / 2.5 x 100 = 10 units.
Frequently asked questions
How many units is 250 mcg of Thymosin Alpha-1 from a 5 mg vial?
It depends on the water volume: 5 units with 1 mL, 10 with 2 mL, 15 with 3 mL and 25 with 5 mL in a 5 mg vial.
Why does adding more water change the unit reading?
More water lowers the concentration, from 5 mg/mL at 1 mL to 1 mg/mL at 5 mL, so the same target amount occupies more volume and reads more units.
How much Thymosin Alpha-1 is in one unit on a U-100 syringe?
One unit is 0.01 mL. At 2.5 mg/mL (the 2 mL row) one unit holds 25 mcg of Thymosin Alpha-1.
